My Story
My passion is finding ways to help motivate children to love learning and have fun while doing it.
As a student, math was always my favorite subject and my love for it is carried over into my tutoring and teaching. I believe that my love and enthusiasm for math shows up in my students.
I have taken several classes and workshops that show specific and fun ways to teach math that will benefit in my tutoring.
I have 20+ years experience teaching in elementary schools in NY, FL, NH and CT. I'm a NYS certified teacher with a master's degree in elementary education.
I live in Spring, Texas with my 2 kitties Mooch and Patty.
I love tutoring, teaching, learning new things, animals, going to the beach, reading, watching movies, traveling, and all things NY Mets Baseball.
My most recent full-time teaching experience was teaching several different grades, in all subjects, in the same NYC School in the Bronx for almost 10 years.
I have Special Education experience teaching math in inclusion classes.
I have gotten students prepared and successful for NYS, NYC and all sorts of standardized math tests in Grades 2-5.
I worked at Sylvan Learning Center teaching math.
I had to resign from my full-time teaching position and Sylvan Learning because of chronic pain illnesses, so my love of teaching, working with computers and the new normal of remote learning is what inspired me to start I L.O.V.E. TUTORING.
